» Boston College welcomes Holy Cross back to Alumni Stadium for the 84th all-time meeting between the two sides.
» BC will honor longtime assistant coach Bill McGovern, who passed in May. An All-American player at Holy Cross, he spent 16 seasons across two stints on the BC coaching staff.
» Saturday’s game will be exclusively streamed by ESPN on ACC Network Extra (ACCNX) on the ESPN app and WatchESPN.com. Bill Spaulding (play-by-play) and former BC linebacker Mark Herzlich (analyst) are in the booth.
» Coverage on the Boston College Sports Network begins 30 minutes prior to kickoff on WEEI 850 AM. Jon Meterparel (play-by-play) is joined on the call by former BC linebacker Pete Cronan in the booth and quarterback Scott Mutryn on the sideline.
» BC leads the all-time series, 49-31-3. The game marks the first match-up since 2018 and just the second since 1986.
» The series started in 1896 with the Eagles winning games in back-to-back weeks by scores of 6-2 on the road and 8-6 at home.
» Since the NCAA was first subdivided in 1978, the Eagles are 33-3 against Division I-AA or FCS opponents and have won 33 in a row. All three losses came in 1978.
» BC has faced Holy Cross 10 times in that stretch, beginning with a 30-29 loss in 1978. The Eagles have won nine in a row in the series.
» BC is 174-82-12 all-time against New England opponents and 34-4 since 1978, the first year the NCAA was split into I-A and I-AA.
» Eight Eagles combine for 15 appearances on preseason watch lists, led by graduate transfer wide receiver Ryan O’Keefe. He is recognized as a candidate for the Biletnikoff Award, Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, Hornung Award and the Senior Bowl.
