Eagles Drop Road Matchup Versus Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH - Boston College fell to Pittsburgh by a score of 2-0 on Saturday evening at Ambrose Urbanic Field.
The Eagles fall to 3-7-2 on the season and 0-4-0 in ACC play and Pittsburgh moves to 8-2-1 and 2-1-1 in league action.
Wiebke Willebrandt turned in a stellar outing despite the setback, posting a career-high 14 saves.
The 14 stops are the fourth most in program history in a single game and the most since Willebrandt's 12 in 2021. The junior keeper now has 208 career saves, becoming one of five goalkeepers in school history to reach the 200-career save mark.
Pittsburgh scored in the first five minutes of the contest to take a 1-0 lead. Sydney Segalla just missed on a match-tying goal in the 34th minute as it nailed the crossbar, leading to a 1-0 advantage for the hosts.
The Panthers scored in the 57th minute to take a 2-0 edge. Ava Feeley looked to slice the gap in half, but her shot on goal was stopped. Pitt kept the BC offense at bay, leading to the win.
Boston College returns to action on Thursday at Notre Dame at 7 p.m. in South Bend.
