» Boston College hosts Virginia for Family Weekend in Chestnut Hill with a 2 p.m. kickoff at Alumni Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 30.
» Saturday’s game will be broadcast nationally across The CW, including CW56 in Boston. Tom Werme (play-by-play) and James Bates (analyst) are in the booth with Tabitha Turner (reporter) on the sidelines.
» The Eagles will make their debut on The CW, which entered into partnership with the league for 13 regular season games.
» Coverage on the Boston College Sports Network begins 30 minutes prior to kickoff on WEEI 93.7 FM. Jon Meterparel (play-by-play) is joined on the call by former BC linebacker Pete Cronan in the booth and quarterback Scott Mutryn on the sideline.
» Boston College leads the all-time series, 6-1, having last met in 2020. Virginia won its first match-up in the series to end the 2020 season, 43-32 in Charlottesville.
» The series started in 1963 with a 30-21 BC win. The Cavaliers last visited Boston College in 2010.
» The seven all-time match-ups between BC and UVA is the most for the Eagles against any current ACC member.
» Boston College is 1-3 to start the season for the second consecutive year and fifth time since 2011. The Eagles last rallied from 1-3 to reach a bowl game in 2017.
» Quarterback Thomas Castellanos ranks 24th in the country with 66 points responsible for. He has accounted for 11 total touchdowns, including eight through the air and three on the ground.
» Graduate transfer wide receiver Ryan O’Keefe surpassed 200 career receptions last week and sits at 204, ninth most in the NCAA among active players.
