BC Defeats Harvard in Three Sets

BC sweeps Harvard to finish the day with two victories, extending win streak to seven
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass- Boston College defeated Harvard University in three sets, 25-14, 27-25, and 25-18, at the BC-Harvard Cohost on Friday night at home.
Boston College pulled away early in the first set with a 4-0 run to take a commanding 14-5 lead. Senior Katrina Jensen dominated set one with seven kills, the set was put away by a freshman Halle Schroder kill. Â
In the second, the Eagles trailed 16-20 before taking the lead 25-24 on a freshman Audrey Ross kill.The lead was ignited by Ross and Jensen who combined for five of the last six points of the set for the Eagles.Â
Boston College fought back from a 4-1 deficit to start the third set, the Eagles gained a 16-11 lead. The set was won on an ace by senior Alayna Crabtree.Â
Ross led all players with 13 kills, a career high, on a .591 attack rate. She added two digs, and one block. Jensen was not far behind with 12 kills on the night and two blocks.
Senior setter Grace Penn led the Eagle attack with 20 assists, while adding eight digs and two service aces. Senior setter Sophia Lambros added 15 assists, six digs, and one service ace. Defensively, senior libero Anna Murphy led the back row with 11 digs, and junior middle blocker Julia Haggerty contributed a match leading five blocks, and six kills.Â
The Eagles return to action Sunday at noon against Stonehill College at the Margot Connell Recreation Center.Â
