
Eagles are Set for Four Matches at Home

BC is set to face-off Providence, Harvard, Stonewall, and Merrimack at home
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College volleyball team co-hosts an action packed weekend with Harvard University. Taking on Providence College and Harvard on Friday, and on Sunday facing Stonehill and Merrimack. The Eagles will face PC at 1 p.m. and Harvard at 7 p.m, and then on Sunday BC will face-off Stonehill at 12 p.m. and Merrimack at 4 p.m.
The Eagles are on a 5-0 run and coming off of a victory at home against URI earlier in the week. Senior Alayna Crabtree and junior Julia Haggerty led the Eagles offense with seven kills each. Senior libero Anna Murphy led the defense with 14 digs, while Haggerty protected the net with three blocks. Junior setter Jane Petrie and senior setter Grace Penn guided the offense with 23 assists, Penn led with 13.
Friday's early match-up against Providence will be the 26 meeting all-time between the two teams. The Friars are 5-4 to start the season. The 7 p.m. match will be the 32 meeting all-time between BC and Harvard. The Crimson are 5-1 to start the season. The Eagles are on a win streak against both PC and Harvard.
Sunday's morning match will be the first meeting between BC and Stonehill, the Skyhawks are looking for its first win on the season. The 4 p.m. match-up will be the second meeting between BC and Merrimack as they met in 2021, where the Eagles won in four sets. Merrimack is 1-6 so far this season.
Following this weekend at home, BC begins ACC play in South Bend, Ind. against Notre Dame on Friday, Sep. 22 at 6:30 p.m.
