SETTING THE SCENE
Two-seed Boston College advanced to the Regional Final in Tuscaloosa with a 4-1 win over three-seed Troy on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles take on host and one-seed Alabama for a spot in the NCAA Super Regionals. Coming out of the loser's bracket, BC needs to defeat Alabama twice, while the Crimson Tide need just one win to advance.

Sunday Recap: Center fielder Barry Walsh led off the game with a home run to right field in a 4-1 win. BC added three runs in the eighth inning without the benefit of a hit. John West, whose Friday start was cut shot due to a lengthy rain delay, tossed 4.1-shutout innings in the start. Eric Schroeder entered with the bases loaded in the fifth and left it that way as he went on to earn the win in 4.2 innings of one run ball with five strikeouts and no walks.
