
Boston College Volleyball Signs Leah Tran Through Team Impact

BC Volleyball and Team Impact held a press conference to introduce Leah on April 18
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College Women's Volleyball Head Coach Jason Kennedy announced a new team member, signing 12-year-old Leah Tran through Team IMPACT. Leah, who was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, was officially introduced at a signing day press conference on Tuesday, April 18th on campus. She will participate in many activities with the women's volleyball team including games, practices, and other team events.
Team IMPACT, a national non-profit organization, has developed a unique multi-year program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Based on a clinical model, Team IMPACT guides a symbiotic relationship between teams and children focused on socialization, empowerment, and resilience.Â

Boston College has worked with Team IMPACT for the past 12 years, matching 23 children across its men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, baseball, women's lacrosse, football, swimming and diving, men's and women's hockey, cheerleading, women's volleyball, and women's track teams.Â
