BC Finishes 11th at 2023 ACC Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Boston College finished 11th at the 2023 ACC Golf Championship, held at the Sedgefield Country Club. The Eagles totaled 899 as a team for the 54-holes of stroke play, held April 13-14. A total of 10 strokes separated sixth through 11th place on the team leaderboard.
Canice Screene was BC's top finisher, tying for 30th place overall (72-73-77=222). Screene was 1-over par entering Friday's final stroke play round. She finished fourth among the field of 55 in total pars, with 39. Cynthia Zhang was one stroke behind her teammate, finishing tied for 32nd place (70-77-76=223). She carded 36 pars - good for a tie for 10th among the field.
Stephany Kim tied for 43rd place, with a score of 228 (74-74-80). She carded six birdies during stroke play - second-best on the team behind Zhang's seven. Bianca Sol Cruz tied for 51st place (77-83-81=241), while Eubin Shim - replacing Ananya Barthakur - finished 56th, carding a 74 in the second round and a 75 during Friday's final day of play.
Wake Forest won the stroke play team title, followed by Duke, Clemson, and Virginia. Those four teams will advance to the match play round, beginning tomorrow and concluding on Sunday.
