BC Set to Begin ACC Schedule In Raleigh

CHESTNUT HILL, MASS – Boston College will take on the NC State Wolfpack in Raleigh this weekend to begin their conference slate. They will play games Friday at 6 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 12 PM. All times are Eastern Standard and all three games will be broadcasted on ACCNX.

Last weekend BC swept Hofstra 3-0 in the series, they won 1-0, 8-0, and 5-4 in each game respectively. Some of the highlights included Sophomore Hannah Slike going for her first multi home run game of her career. She recorded five hits, four RBI, two HR, and three total runs scored, averaging a .455 at the plate in three games and 11 total at bats. Freshman Meghan Schouten hit her first home run of her career as well, she also had three total hits and three RB in six total at bats.

Sophomore pitcher Abby Dunning got another win to improve her record as a starter to 5-0, she pitched a complete game and a shutout allowing just seven total hits and recording nine strikeouts. She also came in to close out game three of the series in what was a very tight game, Dunning was credited with her second save of the season as she helped her team win the game 5-4.

History Against NC State
BC is 18-28 all-time facing the Wolfpack. The most recent matchup came on April 24, 2022 where the Eagles won 9-6. NC State won the overall series last year 2-2, winning game one 3-2 and game two 7-3.

Upon returning from Raleigh, Boston College will play Tuesday at UConn and then play their home opening series in Chestnut Hill next weekend against North Carolina.
