Mitchell Concludes Strong Indoor Season at NCAA DI Indoor Championships

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Katherine Mitchell concluded her impressive indoor season with a fourth-place finish in Heat two of the Women's 800m at the NCAA DI Indoor Track & Field Championships. Mitchell completed the race with a time of 2:05.23 - placing her just outside the qualifying cut at 11th overall.
The top three placements of each heat in addition to the two next-best times will advance to the championship round tomorrow at 6:30 p.m.
Mitchell ends her final indoor season as the current school record holder in the 800m (2:03.00), second all-time in school history for the mile (4:35.43), and part of the school record-setting 4x400m relay team alongside Anna Cleary, Sydney Segalla, and Kyla Krawczyk (3:42.07). She captured ACC gold in the Women's 800m in February at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
UP NEXT
The Eagles will begin their outdoor season with a trip to Atlanta, Ga. to compete in the Yellow Jacket Invitational on March 17-18.
