Smallhouse Leads Eagles in Slalom at St. Michael's Carnival

JEFFERSONVILLE, Vt. – Matthew Smallhouse led the Boston College skiing team with 21st place in the men's slalom over the weekend at the St. Michael's Carnival, hosted at Smugglers' Notch. The giant slalom was postponed due to wind and cold.Â
Smallhouse put together a pair of consistent runs in Saturday's slalom to place inside the top-25, followed by freshman Alex McNabb in 31st. Zach Simmons finished 38th overall for the Eagles, while Ben Charleston placed 49th. Freshman Bode Flanigan was in a top-15 position after the first run but did not finish his second run.
On the women's side, Morgan Ellis led the team 31st place in the slalom competition. Freshman Emily Charleston was the other Boston College finisher in 52nd.
BC returns to action this weekend at the Harvard Carnival, hosted at Waterville Valley on Friday and Saturday.Â
