Whittaker Leads Strong Slalom Performance at Williams Carnival

HANCOCK, Mass. – Freshman Jasmine Whittaker led a strong performance for Boston College skiing in slalom at the Williams Carnival, hosted at Jiminy Peak.
Whittaker finished 12th overall in the women's slalom competition from bib 48 after posting the second-fastest second run among all EISA skiers. Sophomore Lauren Hunter placed 23rd overall while senior Gigi Krancj was 38th as the women earned seventh place as a team.
On the men's side, freshman Ryan Bianchi (14th) and graduate student Spencer Smith (16th) each finished inside the top-20, leading the men to seventh place in slalom. Bianchi recorded the fourth-fastest time in the second run on Friday. Junior Ben Charleston placed 30th and scored for the Eagles, while classmate Zach Simmons came in 37th.
Rookie Bode Flanigan had the top performance of the weekend in giant slalom, taking 17th overall in the men's competition on Saturday with Charleston close behind in 22nd. Junior Morgan Ellis has the best GS finish for the women with 36th place.
BC closes the EISA season this weekend at the St. Lawrence Carnival at Whiteface Mountain.
