Eagles will look ahead to road test at Pitt this Tuesday night
BOSTON (AP) -- Quinten Post reached 20 points for the fifth time this season as No. 22 North Carolina State defeated Boston College 92-62 on Saturday.
Post connected on 9-of-11 shots from the floor and was 2-for-2 from the foul line. He added five rebounds and an assist in 31 minutes. Jaeden Zackery, who came off the bench to play 22 minutes after suffering a bone bruise at Virginia Tech on Feb. 8, added 10 points and three rebounds for the Eagles
The Wolfpack led 10-9 after five minutes before using a 13-4 run to open a double-digit lead. After connecting on nearly 58% of its shots from the floor over the first 20 minutes of play, N.C. State went into the halftime break with a 44-32 lead. N.C. State continued to build its lead in the second half, connecting on 9-of-17 from beyond the arc in the second half.
Boston College - which fell to 2-5 against ranked opponents this season - connected on 43% from the floor but only 4-of-14 from the perimeter. The Eagles return to action with a pair of road games next week, beginning on Tuesday at Pittsburgh.
