Saturday Matinee Set Between Eagles and #22/22 Wolfpack

BOSTON COLLEGE VS. N.C. STATE - ALL-TIME SERIES

Today's game marks the 29th meeting between the two schools. N.C. State holds a 15-13 lead in the all-time series.
In ACC regular season play, the Eagles are 9-14 vs. N.C. State. The Eagles took a 69-61 victory in Raleigh on Feb. 23, 2022.
Earl Grant and Kevin Keatts have faced off 10 times while head coaches - once in the ACC and nine times at College of Charleston and UNC Wilmington, respectively.

BOSTON COLLEGE AGAINST RANKED OPPONENTS

POST SIMPLY SPECTACULAR

Since returning to the BC lineup 12 games ago, Quinten Post has emerged as one of the top players in the ACC.
He is averaging 16.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game for the Eagles.
Post is one of 11 players nationally - and two in the ACC (Armando Bacot - UNC) to post those per game averages.
Post is just under the 50/40/90 line for the season, connecting on 55.6% FG, 41.7% from 3FG, and 85.4% from the FT line.
He is one of only two players nationally to post those percentages and average better than 15.0 points per game.
In ACC-only stats, Post ranks ninth in scoring, 11th in rebounding, third in FG%, eighth in FT%, and 13th in blocks.
Post has scored in double figures in each of his last two outings.
Over his last six games, is averaging 21.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game over his last six games.
Last time out at Virginia Tech, Post logged his second double-double of the season with 24 points and 10 boards.

Newcomers Prince Aligbe and Devin McGlockton - are combining to average 13.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game this year.
It is the highest combined scoring and rebounding averages by a pair of BC freshmen forwards since the 2007-08 season, when Rakim Sanders and Corey Raji combined for 19.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game in their first collegiate seasons.

ALL THAT CHAS

Freshman Chas Kelley III came off the bench at Virginia Tech to score a season-best 17 points.
The 6-3 guard made 5-of-8 shots - including 4-of-7 from the perimeter - while dishing out four assists (zero turnovers).
Kelley scored 11 of his 17 in the second half, including a pair of free throws with 14 seconds left which sealed the win.
Kelley played a season-high 31 minutes after starting guard Jaeden Zackery played only seven minutes due to injury.
Over his last three games, Kelley is averaging 8.0 points and 2.0 assists in 18 minutes of reserve play.

BIG 3 OVER THE LAST EIGHT

Quinten Post (19.3 ppg), Makai Ashton-Langford (13.5), and Jaeden Zackery (9.5) are averaging nearly a combined 42.3 points over the last eight games for Boston College. That accounts for nearly 61% of the Eagles' scoring during that span.

BC was 0-for-6 from beyond the arc in the game - marking the first time since Nov. 28, 2009 that BC went without a 3-pointer.
The Eagles were the first ACC team this season - and the first since Virginia a season ago - to go 3-pointer-less in a game.

The very next game, BC connected on a then season-best 11 3-pointers, going 11-of-19 at Notre Dame on Jan. 21.
The 11 treys were the most by the Eagles since Feb. 21, 2022 when they also made 11 in a home win over Florida State.

McGLOCKTON ONE OF ACC'S TOP FRESHMEN RESERVES

Among ACC freshmen who have come off the bench in 75% of their games, Devin McGlockton ranks second in the league in scoring (6.1) and third in rebounds (4.1).
The 6-7 forward earned his first start of the season on Jan. 31 against Clemson.
The 6-7 redshirt freshman is playing his first season of college ball and has scored in double figures on seven occasions.
He entered the starting lineup on Jan. 31 vs. #22/23 Clemson and is averaging 6.7 points in 18 minutes as a starter.
On Dec. 21, McGlockton scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half to help lead BC over #20/21 Virginia Tech.
Six of those 13 second half points came during a key 8-0 run, helping BC build a nine-point lead with under 5:00 to play.
On Nov. 30 at Nebraska, McGlockton logged his first career double-double, with 20 points and 11 boards.
Boston College is 8-2 when he blocks at least one shot and 5-2 when he plays 20 minutes or more.
McGlockton leads the team in FG% (58.8%) and effective FG% (61.3%), and is second in true shooting percentage (64.7%).
Against Rhode Island, McGlockton scored the evental go-ahead basket with 1:07 remaining in the game.
He also sealed the victory with two free throws with eight seconds remaining; scoring six of his 11 points in the final 1:40.
Against Wyoming, McGlockton had 12 points (5-8 FG; 2-3 3FG), four rebounds, an assist, a steal, and three blocks.
The last player to post a similarly complete stat line - Steffon Mitchell against Duke (12p/5r/1a/1s/3b).
McGlockton is the first Boston College player in at least 26 years to post that stat line coming off the bench.
