
Cross Country Travels to Tallahassee for ACC Championships

Group of 20 Eagles are set to compete against top talent from the ACC
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Boston College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams are set to compete at the ACC Championships on Friday, Oct. 27 at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida.Â
Arturo Barrios InvitationalÂ
The Eagles are coming off competing at the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Oct. 13, where they faced many of the top teams and individual runners in the country. Emma Tavella shined on Friday, placing 21st overall in the Women's 6k with a time of 20:15.0. A trio of Eagles finished in the top 40 overall, with Lily Flynn placing 36th (20:25.9), Roshni Singh placing 38th (20:30.8), and Molly Hudson placing 39th (20:31.3). Natalie Millerova was the final scorer for the Eagles, placing 73rd (20:55.60). The Boston College Women's Cross Country team placed third overall, compiling 206 points.Â
On the Men's side, Steven Jackson continued his impressive season by placing 50th overall in the Men's 8k with a time of 24:13.9. A trio of Eagles finished within less than 10 seconds of each other. Peter Fox crossed the finish line in 63rd place, with a time of 24:23.9. Andrew Healey was three seconds behind, placing 68th (24:26.2), while John Garvey was 83rd overall (24:32.3). Eero Helenius was the final scorer, placing 125th with a time of 24:50.2. The Eagles placed 13th overall as a team, compiling 385 points.

The Eagles will have 20 athletes compete at the ACC Championships on Friday. On the Women's side, the Eagles will feature: Ellie Buckley, Ella Fadil, Molly FitzPatrick, Lily Flynn, Sarah Flynn, Molly Hudson, Natalie Millerova, Anna Robinson, Roshni Singh, and Emma Tavella. On the Men's side, the Eagles will showcase: Aidan Brancaccio, Cruz Brown, Sam Ellis, Peter Fox, John Garvey, Andrew Healey, Eero Helenius, Steven Jackson, Nick Loffredo, and Friend Weiler. The group of 20 Eagles that will be traveling to Tallahassee will feature eleven upperclassmen and nine underclassmen.Â
The ACC Championships will feature 15 teams on both the Men's and Women's side. The meet is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. with the Men's 8K, followed by the Women's 6K starting at 9:30 a.m. Race times are subject to change in the event of inclement weather. The meet will be available to watch and stream nationally on ACC Network.Â
