Eagles Place Second at Diamante Intercollegiate

Canice Screene and Cynthia Zhang tied for ninth place, going 6-under for the 54-hole tournament
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. -- Boston College finished second at the Diamante Intercollegiate. The Eagles were 2-under during Tuesday's final round and finished at 23-under for the tournament. BC set a new program record for lowest team score for a round, going 15-under during Monday's second round action.
Canice Screene and Cynthia Zhang tied for ninth place, going 6-under for the 54-hole tournament. Screene started the tournament hot, carding scores of 67 and 68 before a final round 75. She carded 15 birdies and 32 pars.
Zhang was 7-under over her final two days of play, opening with a 73 before registering scores of 67 and 70 in the second and third rounds, respectively. She made 13 birdies and 34 pars.
Angel Lin tied for 13th place, finishing the tournament at 3-under. She posted rounds of 71-68-74. Emily Böhrer tied for 24th place with a score of 215 (-1), posting her best score of the tournament - a 3-under 69 - during Tuesday's final round. Stephany Kim shot a second round 70 and tied for 58th.
As a team. BC played the par 3 holes at 2-over (3.03 avg), par 4 holes at 6-over (4.04 avg), and par 5 holes at 18-under (4.70 avg). The Eagles carded 164 pars and 61 birdies.
