QUINTEN POST RETURNS TO LINEUP

Quinten Post has made an impact since returning to the BC lineup.
Post missed the first 13 games of the 2022-23 season due to a foot injury and has played in the last five games.
He returned to the starting lineup against Wake Forest on Jan. 14, finishing with 10 points and three boards in 21 minutes.
On Jan. 7 against #16/14 Duke, Post scored 16 points and grabbed six boards in 27 minutes off the bench.
Post put BC ahead with his jumper in the lane with 28 seconds remaining; he made six FG on the day, including two 3-pointers.
The 7-footer made his first five field goal attempts last time out vs. Notre Dame, finishing with 10 points and nine boards.
In his season debut at Syracuse, he came off the bench and tallied eight points, three boards, and two assists in 17 minutes.
He is averaging 10.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and nearly 1.0 assists and 1.0 blocks in nearly 22 minutes per game.
A 2022 ACC All-Tournament pick, Post finished last season as one of the league's top big men, averaging 11.2 points, 5.5 boards, 1.0 blocks while shooting nearly 58% from the floor and 56% from the perimeter over the final 10 games.

ALLOW ME TO RE-INTRODUCE MYSELF

Jaeden Zackery scored a season-high and game-high 18 points in the win over Notre Dame on Jan. 3.
The sophomore guard tallied 14 of his 18 points over the final 10 minutes of play in the second half against the Irish.
He made a career-high seven field goals in the game, while adding four boards and three assists in 37 minutes.
BC is 4-0 when Zackery scores at least 16 points in a game this season (Notre Dame, Stonehill, Rhode Island, Wyoming).
Prior to his 16-point game vs. Wyoming, he had tallied 11 points in his previous two games - including a season-low four points against Tarleton State, going without a field goal for the first time in his career to that point (39 games).
Against Wyoming (8-8) and Rhody (7-8), he went to the free throw line 16 times, connecting on 15.
When Zackery goes to the free throw line at least five times, Boston College is 3-1 in 2022-23 and 6-2 all-time.
Zackery has been BC's high scorer on six occasions and ranks third in scoring (10.5) since the return of Quinten Post.
Zackery has committed 10 turnovers in his last 255:00 of play - he's recorded 19 assists and 13 steals over that span.

LANGFORD BROTHERS QUITE A COMBO VS. MIAMI

DeMarr Langford Jr. (20) and Makai Ashton-Langford (19) scored 39 of Boston College's 72 points at #16/15 Miami.
DeMarr Langford Jr. finished with a season-high 20 points, making 10-of-13 shots from the floor, while also tallied six assists.
Makai Ashton-Langford added 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting, while adding two assists, a steal, and a blocked shot.
The brothers combined for 18 of BC's 32 made field goals and eight of the team's 14 assists.
In the second half, the Langfords combined for 27 of the Eagles' 44 points and 12 of 20 made field goals.
It was the third-highest single-game scoring output by a pair of brothers on the same team this season.
Connor (17) and Patrick (24) McCaffrey combined for 41 against Wisconsin on Dec. 11, while Tanner (14) and Jacob (26) Groves put up 40 points for Oklahoma in a win over Central Arkansas on Dec. 17.

McGLOCKTON EARLY LEADER FOR ACC SIXTH MAN OF THE YEAR

Among all ACC players without a start, Devin McGlockton leads the league in scoring (6.9) and rebounds (4.9).
Among ACC players who have come off the bench in 75% of their games, those totals rank third and first, respectively.
On Dec. 21, McGlockton scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half to help lead BC over #20/21 Virginia Tech.
Six of those 13 second half points came during a key 8-0 run, helping BC build a nine-point lead with under 5:00 to play.
McGlockton is the only BC reserve - and one of only eight bench players in the ACC - to log a double-double this season.
The 6-7 redshirt freshman is playing his first season of college ball and has scored in double figures on six occasions.
Boston College is 5-4 when he grabs at least six rebounds and is 6-2 when he blocks at least one shot.
McGlockton leads Boston College in FG% (47-80, 58.8%), effective FG% (61.2%), and true shooting percentage (64.4%).
McGlockton had career-highs in points (20) and rebounds (11) en route to his first career double-double at Nebraska.
Against Rhode Island, McGlockton scored the evental go-ahead basket with 1:07 remaining in the game.
He also sealed the victory with two free throws with eight seconds remaining; scoring six of his 11 points in the final 1:40.
Against Wyoming, McGlockton had 12 points (5-8 FG; 2-3 3FG), four rebounds, an assist, a steal, and three blocks.
The last player to post a similarly complete stat line - Steffon Mitchell against Duke (12p/5r/1a/1s/3b).
McGlockton is the first Boston College player in at least 26 years to post that stat line coming off the bench.

LANGFORD JR. DEVELOPING AS PLAYMAKER

Over his last four games. DeMarr Langford Jr. has dished out 17 assists to four turnovers.
During that span, he is posting a 4.25:1 assist/turnover ratio, while averaging 9.8 points, 4.5 boards, and 4.3 dimes per outing.
At Miami, Langford Jr. registered six assists to one turnover in 35 minutes of play. He also had a season-high 20 points.
On Jan. 3 against Notre Dame, Langford Jr. registered a career-high eight assists to only one turnover in 36 minutes.
It is the highest single-game assist mark by a BC player since Makai Ashton-Langford had nine on Feb. 21, 2022 vs. FSU.
For the season, he ranks second on the Eagles in assists (34) and leads the team with 3.0 dimes per game.
In ACC play, Langford Jr. ranks sixth in the league in assist/turnover ratio (2.30:1).

Last season, when BC attempted 15 or fewer 3-pointers, it was 8-4; with 16 or more 3-point attempts, it was 5-16.
So far this season, the Eagles are 4-3 when attempting fewer than 15 3FG and 4-7 with 16 or more 3FG attempts.

FINAL FOUR OPPONENTS ON SHORT NOTICE

Boston College faced two opponents which played in the 2022 Final Four in the span of a week.
The Eagles played at Duke on Dec. 3 and faced Villanova on Dec. 10 in the Never Forget Tribute Classic.
It marked the first time since the 1987-88 season in which BC faced two teams from the previous Final Four in the same week.
That year, BC traveled to Syracuse on Monday, Jan. 18, 1988 before hosting Providence on Saturday, Jan. 23.
BC takes on two 2022 Final Four teams in the span of 10 days in January - hosting Duke on Jan. 7 and at UNC on Jan. 17.

MADSEN FROM DEEP

Mason Madsen connected on three 3-pointers against Villanova in the Never Forget Tribute Classic.
It was the second game this season - and ninth career game - in which Madsen made at least three trifectas.
He leads the Eagles in 3-pointers made this season, with 19 - and has 67 career treys in 63 career games.

ZACKERY'S 3-POINT EFFICIENCY

Dating back to last season, Jaeden Zackery ranks 58th nationally among all active players in 3-point field goal percentage.
Zackery has connected on 41.7% of his long-distance shots for his career, making 68-of-163 from beyond the arc (51 games).
