Eagles Take on #16/15 Miami on Wednesday Night

BOSTON COLLEGE VS. MIAMI - ALL-TIME SERIES

Today's game marks the 56th meeting between the two schools. Miami holds a slim 28-27 lead in the all-time series.
BC is 11-15 all-time at Miami, but have lost nine straight versus the Hurricanes in Coral Gables.
In ACC regular season play, BC is 10-18 versus the Hurricanes. BC is 1-2 against Miami all-time in ACC Tournament play.
Last season, Miami won two games against Boston College - an 81-70 win at Conte Forum on March 2 and a 71-69 overtime buzzer beater in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals on March 10.
From 1989-2004, both schools were members of the Big East. BC compiled a 15-6 mark versus Miami during that span.

Boston College is 68-256 overall against ranked opponents
The Eagles are 1-2 this season against teams ranked in the Associated Press and Coaches top 25 polls.
On Dec. 21, BC downed #20/21 Virginia Tech, 70-65, in overtime, snapping a nine-game slide vs. ranked opponents.
BC lost twice to Duke - 75-59 vs. the #17/17 Blue Devils to start ACC play on Dec. 3 and 65-64 against #16/14 Duke on Jan. 7.
BC was 0-1 vs. teams ranked in the top 25 in 2021-22 - dropping the lone matchup with #7/7 Duke, 71-62, on Feb. 12, 2022.

QUINTEN POST RETURNS TO LINEUP

Quinten Post has made an immediate impact since making his 2022-23 debut at Syracuse on Dec. 31.
Post missed the first 13 games of the 2022-23 season due to a foot injury and has played in the last three games.
Last time out against Duke, Post scored 16 points and grabbed six boards in 27 minutes off the bench.
Post put BC ahead with his jumper in the lane with 28 seconds remaining; he made six FG on the day, including two 3-pointers.
The 7-footer made his first five field goal attempts last time out vs. Notre Dame, finishing with 10 points and nine boards.
In his season debut at Syracuse, he came off the bench and tallied eight points, three boards, and two assists in 17 minutes.
He is averaging 11.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.0 blocks in nearly 23 minutes per game.
A 2022 ACC All-Tournament pick, Post finished last season as one of the league's top big men, averaging 11.2 points, 5.5 boards, 1.0 blocks while shooting nearly 58% from the floor and 56% from the perimeter over the final 10 games.

ALLOW ME TO RE-INTRODUCE MYSELF

Jaeden Zackery scored a season-high and game-high 18 points in the win over Notre Dame on Jan. 3.
The sophomore guard tallied 14 of his 18 points over the final 10 minutes of play in the second half against the Irish.
He made a career-high seven field goals in the game, while adding four boards and three assists in 37 minutes.
BC is 4-0 when Zackery scores at least 16 points in a game this season (Notre Dame, Stonehill, Rhode Island, Wyoming).
Prior to his 16-point game vs. Wyoming, he had tallied 11 points in his previous two games - including a season-low four points against Tarleton State, going without a field goal for the first time in his career to that point (39 games).
Against Wyoming (8-8) and Rhody (7-8), he went to the free throw line 16 times, connecting on 15.
When Zackery goes to the free throw line at least five times, Boston College is 3-1 in 2022-23 and 6-2 all-time.
Zackery has been BC's high scorer on five occasions and ranks second in scoring (10.8) through 16 games.

McGLOCKTON EARLY LEADER FOR ACC SIXTH MAN OF THE YEAR

Among all ACC players without a start, Devin McGlockton leads the league in scoring (7.6) and rebounds (4.8).
On Dec. 21, McGlockton scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half to help lead BC over #20/21 Virginia Tech.
Six of those 13 second half points came during a key 8-0 run, helping BC build a nine-point lead with under 5:00 to play.
McGlockton is the only BC reserve - and one of only eight bench players in the ACC - to log a double-double this season.
The 6-7 redshirt freshman is playing his first season of college ball and has scored in double figures on six occasions.
BC is 5-3 when he grabs at least six rebounds and is 6-2 when he blocks at least one shot.
McGlockton leads Boston College in FG% (46-75, 61.3%), effective FG% (64.0%), and true shooting percentage (66.4%).
McGlockton had career-highs in points (20) and rebounds (11) en route to his first career double-double at Nebraska.
Against Rhode Island, McGlockton scored the evental go-ahead basket with 1:07 remaining in the game.
He also sealed the victory with two free throws with eight seconds remaining; scoring six of his 11 points in the final 1:40.
Against Wyoming, McGlockton had 12 points (5-8 FG; 2-3 3FG), four rebounds, an assist, a steal, and three blocks.
The last player to post a similarly complete stat line - Steffon Mitchell against Duke (12p/5r/1a/1s/3b).
McGlockton is the first Boston College player in at least 26 years to post that stat line coming off the bench.

THE ARTIST FORMALLY KNOWN AS PRINCE

Prince Aligbe is averaging 11.0 points and 5.3 rebounds over his last three games for Boston College.
On Jan. 3 versus Notre Dame, Aligbe had 15 points (5-8 FG) and seven boards in 24 minutes.
He saw a season-high 25 minutes of action at Syracuse, tallying 12 points and five boards, to go along with a steal.
Aligbe announced his presence with authority, connecting on the gamewinner in the opener vs. Cornell on Nov. 7
Aligbe led Boston College in scoring with 16 points, while also grabbing nine rebounds - narrowly missing a double-double.
The 6-7 four-star forward from Minneapolis scored 12 of his 16 points in the second half, including eight in the final 4:00 of play.
Aligbe became the first Boston College freshman in 11 years to lead the Eagles in scoring in his first career game.
On Nov. 14, 2011, newcomer Patrick Heckmann led BC in scoring (19 points) in the season lidlifter vs. New Hampshire.
After an injury early against Detroit Mercy, he missed the next six games before playing four minutes at Duke on Dec. 3.

LANGFORD JR. DEVELOPING AS PLAYMAKER

Over his last two games. DeMarr Langford Jr. has dished out 11 assists to five turnovers.
On Jan. 3 against Notre Dame, Langford Jr. registered a career-high eight assists to only one turnover in 36 minutes.
It is the highest single-game assist mark by a BC player since Makai Ashton-Langford had nine on Feb. 21, 2022 vs. FSU.
In ACC play, Langford Jr. is posting a 2.0:1 assist/turnover ratio, including a 5.0:1 mark over his last two games.
For the season, he ranks third on the Eagles in assists (27) and is tied for his brother, averaging 2.1 dimes per game.
