Eagles Take Philly for First Road Trip of the Season

BC looking to rebound vs. Penn, Saint Joseph's this weekend

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The No. 20 Boston College Eagles (1-3, 0-0) will hit the road for the first time this weekend, looking to get back on track after a pair of ranked losses to No. 3 Maryland and No. 1 Northwestern in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge. On Friday, the Eagles will take on the Penn Quakers (0-2, 0-0), followed by No. 12 Saint Joseph's (2-1, 0-0) on Sunday afternoon.

Friday marks the first ever meeting between Penn and Boston College field hockey. The Quakers have two ACC contests under their belt already this season, with losses vs. No. 9 Louisville and at No. 2 North Carolina.

Sunday's contest will be the fourth installment in the matchup between BC and Saint Joseph's, with the Hawks holding a 2-1 advantage. The Eagles' last win came in 2000, with the Hawks prevailing in their last two meetings.

Both games will air on ESPN+.
