BC Prepares for ACC Road Trip

Currently sitting at 13-3 on the season, the Eagles will get set for matches this weekend against Virginia Tech and Wake Forest
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College Volleyball heads back out onto the road this upcoming weekend for two more ACC matchups against Virginia Tech at 6 p.m on Friday night and Wake Forest at 1 p.m on Sunday. Both matches will be broadcasted on ACC Network.
The Eagles So Far…
BC now stands at 13-3 on the season, their best 16 game start in program history after five set wins against Duke and Bryant this week. Against Bryant on Wednesday night, the Eagles were able to fend off a furious Bulldog comeback after they had been down 2-0 in the match. Junior outside hitter Alayna Crabtree (Normal, Ill) and Sophomore middle blocker Jenna Pollock (St. Catharines, Ont) once again led the offense with 11 kills a piece. Graduate middle blocker Kate Brennan was also a standout performer as she was making all the clutch plays for BC going for a hyper efficient nine kills on 14 attacks, five blocks and two digs. Boston College currently sits in fourth place in the ACC in the overall standings with Pitt, Louisville, and Georgia Tech ahead of them.

The Matchups…
Virginia Tech: This will be 31st matchup between the Hokies and Eagles with BC currently holding an 11-19 record all time. The most recent match between the two sides was November 19, 2021 in which Virginia Tech won 3-1. The Hokies have begun this season 8-5 and a 1-1 conference record so far.
Wake Forest: Sunday's match will be the 29th matchup between the two programs, the Demon Deacons currently hold the advantage all time with an 17-11 record against the Eagles. Most recently, last season on November 21, 2021 when the teams met, Wake Forest came away with a 3-0 win against BC. Wake Forest currently sits at 9-4 on the season and 1-1 conference so far as well.

After returning from their road trip this weekend, Boston College will prepare for a pivotal home stand next weekend with matchups against No. 2 ranked Louisville next Friday and Notre Dame next Sunday.
