A WIN OVER NOTRE DAME WOULD . . .
• Give the Eagles a 5-4-3 record on the year.
• Give Boston College a 1-3-0 record in ACC play.
• Bump the Eagles to 1-14-0 all-time against the Fighting Irish.
ABOUT BOSTON COLLEGE
• Boston College enters Thursday's contest with an overall record of 4-4-3 with a mark of 0-3-0 in ACC play.
• Thursday night marks the fourth consecutive game against a team ranked in the top-20 of the national poll … this is the first time since at least the 2013 season that BC has played four consecutive games against ranked opponents.
• Last week, the Eagles played at #5 Duke on Thursday night, falling to the Blue Devils by a 3-0 score ... on Sunday, BC dropped a 3-0 contest at #3 North Carolina.
• Overall, six different Eagles have scored in Sam Smith (5), Emily Sapienza (4), Ella Richards (3), Andi Barth (2), Claire Mensi and Sydney Segalla.
• Laura Gouvin leads BC in assists with three.

• The Eagles have out-cornered the opponent in five out of nine games of the season and 60-48 overall, including a season-high 12 against Holy Cross on Aug. 28.
• BC has registered at least three shots on goal in nine out of 11 contests this season
• Head coach Jason Lowe is in his fourth season as head coach of the Eagles.

• Notre Dame brings on overall record of 8-2-0 and an ACC mark of 1-2-0 in to Thursday's contest.
•The Irish played two ACC games last week, both at home ... Notre Dame knocked off #2 Virginia, 1-0, but fell to Pitt, 3-1.
• Olivia Wingate leads the team in points with 14, scoring six goals and assisting on two others ... Maddie Mercado has 13 points off of six goals and one assist and has scored a team-leading three game-winning goals on the year.
• Ashley Naylor and Mackenzie Wood have both started games in goal for Notre Dame ... Naylor is 4-1-0 with a 1.01 goals against average, .643 save percentage, one solo shutout and nine saves ... Wood is 4-1-0 with a 0.60 goals against average, .667 save percentage, three solo shutouts and six saves.
SERIES HISTORY VS NOTRE DAME
• Boston College and Notre Dame have met 15 times prior to Thursday night, with the Fighting Irish holding a lead of 14-1-0 in the all-time series.
• The teams met last season in South Bend, with the Irish picking up a 4-1 win that included three total penalty kick goals ... the Irish converted twice from the spot while the Eagles converted once.
• The Eagles and Fighting Irish first met on Oct. 27, 1995 at Notre Dame ... the hosts came away with a 3-1 win.
• BC's lone win in the series came on Nov. 7, 2003, with the Eagles earning a 2-1 win in the BIG EAST tournament.
• The Eagles and Irish have clashed in five different locations ... in addition to Notre Dame and Newton, the two schools have squared off in a neutral site game at Rutgers University, the BIG EAST tournament in Storrs, Conn. and also at Natick HS in Natick, Mass.
