Eagles Use Final Round Rally to take Boston College Intercollegiate

Angel Lin leads seven BC golfers in the top 20 with her fifth place finish
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College earned its first victory of the 2022-23 season, staging a final round comeback to take the third at the Boston College Intercollegiate. The two-day, 54-hole tournament was held at Blue Hill C.C. in Canton, Mass.
The Eagles finished two strokes ahead of runner-up Elon, posting a total team score of 901 (304-299-298). BC's final round score of 298 was the best among the field, allowing it to erase a seven-stroke deficit after the second round of play.
Each of the five BC golfers finished among the top 20 of the tournament, led by Angel Lin who placed fifth overall (74-73-74=221). Cynthia Zhang posted her best finish as a collegiate golfer, tying for 12th place (76-77-75=228), while Canice Screene placed 15th (76-78-75=229). Eubin Shim tied for 16th place (78-73-79=230) and Estelle Seon tied for 19th (82-76-74=232).
Boston College's individual golfers also performed well. Ananya Barthakur (77-73-76=226) and Stephany Kim (77-75-74=226) tied for eighth place, while Bianca Sol Cruz tied for 35th (81-78-77=236).
Barthakur posted the shot of the tournament, registering a hole-in-one on the par 3 16th hole, finding the bottom of the cup from 153 yards out, using her 8-iron.
