
Jensen Earns ACC Volleyball Player of the Week

Outside hitter is BC's second recipient under Coach Jason Kennedy
CHESTNUT HILL– Boston College Junior outside hitter Katrina Jensen (Temecula, Calif) was named ACC Volleyball Co-Player of the Week for the week ending September 11. She shares the honor with Duke's Gracie Johnson.Â
Jensen is only the second player under head coach Jason Kennedy to earn Player of the Week recognition; joining Gabby McCaa (March 28, 2021)Â
The Eagles went 4-0 this past week, with a 3-0 sweep of Hartford at home on Wednesday, a 3-2 win against Long Island on Friday, and 3-0 sweeps of Marist and Rhode Island on Saturday. Jensen totaled 58 kills on a .310 hitting percentage, 10 digs and three total blocks in 13 out of a possible 14 sets played in four matches. She set a new single-game career-high with 30 kills on a .464 hitting percentage in a massive comeback win against Long Island and tallied two more 10-kill performances against Hartford and Rhode Island. Jensen's 30 kill performance against LIU ranks as the fifth highest five set kill total in the country.
Boston College continues their season with the St. John's Classic this upcoming weekend, they are scheduled to face Middle Tennessee on Friday and St. Johns and Columbia on Saturday.Â
