Holy Cross Up Next For The Eagles

The Eagles will host the Crusaders on Sunday afternoon in Newton.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's soccer team will continue with non-conference play this weekend, hosting Holy Cross at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Newton Campus Soccer Field. The game will air live on ACCNX.

• After opening up the 2022 slate with two straight wins, Boston College its coming off its first loss of the season Thursday night after falling to Big Ten power Michigan, 1-0.
• Overall, five different Eagles have scored in Emily Sapienza, Ella Richards, Andi Barth, Claire Mensi and Sam Smith ... Richards also has one assist.
• Riley Kerber has two assists while Éabha O'Mahony and Laura Gouvin each have one.

NEW FACES
• The 2022 Boston College women's soccer roster features 13 players who weren't on the 2021 roster, including nine freshmen.
• Claire Mensi and Alycia Morin come to the Heights as graduate transfers, with Mensi playing four years at Bucknell and Morin three years at Bishop's University (Quebec).
• The Eagles also had two players join the roster in January in junior Emily Sapienza, a transfer from Rutgers, and sophomore Jordan Teguis, a mid-year addition from the club team.
• Additionally, the Eagles have welcomed a new assistant coach in Dirk Vandeveer.
INTERNATIONAL APPEAL
• The Eagles are a diverse group, having five different countries and 11 different states represented on the team roster of 27.
