Mitchell Races in the 800m at NCAA Championship

Finishes seventh in her heat - 21st overall - in the semifinals (2:05.86)
EUGENE, Ore. — Katherine Mitchell placed seventh in her qualifying heat of the 800m in the semifinals of the 800m at the NCAA Championship, held at Hayward Field. Mitchell clocked 2:05.06 in the first of three heats of the 800m. She finished in 21st place overall.
On May 28 in Bloomington, Ind., Mitchell punched her ticket to the national championship meet by placing third in her quarterfinal heat of the 800m, running a time of 2:04.53.
Earlier this season, the 2022 Boston College Athletics Female Co-MVP placed second in the 800m at the ACC Championship in a personal-best time of 2:04.09. That ranked as the third-best 800m performance in Boston College history.
