
Eagles Take Home NEISA Women's Team Race Championship

Victory earns BC automatic berth in women's team race national championship
PROVIDENCE -- Boston College earned the trophy in the inaugural NEISA Women's Team Race Championship at Brown over the weekend, going a dominant 18-3 in races over the two days and clinching a spot in the Women's Team Race National Championship later this month.Â
The Eagles set the tone in round one, sweeping the board with a perfect 9-0 record. Led by skippers Colleen O'Brien, Michaela O'Brien, and Sophia Reineke, and crew Nicole Moeder, Elizabeth Shanahan, Lilly Mathieu, and Laura Ferraris, the Eagles will return to Brown April 23rd and 24th for the national championship.Â
Elsewhere, the Eagles secured a runner-up finish for the Boston University Trophy, coming second to only Northesatern by five points, surpassing 12 other teams.Â
