Eagles Ready for 2022 ACC Championship

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College men's golf team starts play at the 2022 ACC Championship on Thursday, beginning the first two rounds of stroke play. The ACC Championship will be held at the Shark's Tooth G.C. at the Watersound Club in Panama City, Fla.

The conference championship will begin with a 54-hole competition on Friday and Saturday in stroke play format, in order to determine the ACC's individual champions. Competitors will play 36 holes on April 22 and finish up with the final 18 holes of play on April 23. The top four teams in stroke play will advance to the match play round on Sunday, April 24 and Monday, April 25. Six ACC teams are ranked in the Golfstat Top 25 rankings – No. 5 North Carolina, No. 11 Georgia Tech, No. 13 Notre Dame, No. 17 Wake Forest, No. 23 Clemson and No. 24 Florida State. NC State is just outside the top 25 at No. 26.

Designed by Greg Norman, Matthew Dusenberry, and Tad Burnett, the Shark's Tooth Golf Club is located on the dune lakes near Panama City Beach. Tucked among the oaks and pines of the coastal sanctuary of the Wild Heron Community and along the shores of the largest dune lake in Florida, Lake Powell, Shark's Tooth is one of the most challenging Panama City Beach golf courses that is truly one with nature. The Eagles competed on this course from Feb. 20-22 as part of the Watersound Invitational.
