MIT, Sacred Heart Await BC on Saturday

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College rowing team will hit the Charles River on Saturday morning. The Eagles are set to race against MIT and Sacred Heart, with the first race of the morning starting at 9:10 a.m. with the V8 boats.

Saturday's day or racing will mark the final time for BC on the Charles River this spring.

-Boston College competed twice last weekend, hitting the Charles River on Saturday morning and Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday.
-Saturday saw the Eagles' V4 boat pick up a win by beating out Boston University by .5 seconds … BC's 3V boat also picked up a win in its heat.
-The Eagles retained the Irving-Christensen Cup on Sunday, sweeping all four races versus UConn and Holy Cross.
-BC's V4 boat has earned a win in each of the last four races.

ABOUT SATURDAY'S OPPONENTS
-MIT competed in New Jersey at the Knecht Cup last weekend, highlighted by a bronze medal finish for the 2V8 boat … in the Grand Final, MIT beat West Virginia, Fordham and Stetson.
-Sacred Heart hosted Fairfield and Trinity College last weekend, finishing second to Fairfield in each race of the day.
