Bulls Down Eagles in Game Two for Series Split

The squads were scoreless through the first two frames before the Bulls took a 4-0 lead through four. The top of the fifth gave way to a five-run outburst for the BC bats. After Lucas Stalman tripled in a run and Travis Honeyman drove him in, Joe Vetrano's three-run home run put BC up 5-4.
USF was able to put up four more runs in the bottom of the sixth, though, and would hold off a BC rally that saw two on, two out with the tying run at the plate in the top of the ninth.

BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Lucas Stalman 3-for-4 on the day with three RBI, three runs scored … Stalman hit a single, triple and home run … he also had a successful sacrifice bunt in the third inning.
- Stalman, Luke Gold (2-for-4), Joe Vetrano (2-for-4), Ramon Jimenez (2-for-5) and Sam McNulty (2-for-3) had multi-hit days for BC.
- Mason Pelio made his first appearance of the season, allowing two hits but shutting out the Bulls in his planned inning of work.
- Luke Delongchamp made his collegiate debut … the freshman came on in the second and went two innings, giving up three runs on two hits while striking out one and walking two.
The Eagles will open up ACC play this weekend at Miami. The three-game series starts at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 11.
