Women's Sailing Team Drops Just One Race in Dominant Opening Win

NEW ORLEANS -- The Eagles spring season got off to a fast start over the weekend, with the women's team taking first in the Green Wave Women's Regatta at Tulane. Competing against the College of Charleston, Jacksonville, South Florida, Wisconsin, and Tulane, the Eagles dropped just one race all weekend, going 24-1 in the cross regional regatta.

Led by skippers Colleen O'Brien, Michaela O'Brien, Sophia Reineke, and Libby Redmond, and crew Laura Ferraris, Lilly Mathieu, and Katelyn McGauley, the Eagles cruised to a season-opening victory, going 15-0 over the final three rounds of racing.

Up next for the Eagles is the John Jackson Team Race at Georgetown University next weekend.
