
Mitchell, Krawczyk Capture Gold at ECAC Championship

Mitchell wins the 800m title; Krawczyk first in the 500m
BOSTON, Mass. — Kyla Krawczyk and Katherine Mitchell won gold medals in the 500m and 800m, respectively, at the 2022 ECAC Championship at the BU Track & Tennis Center.
Krawczyk clocked a time of 1:12.82 to earn the victory. She got to Sunday's final after a qualifying heat time of 1:13.86. Mitchell cruised to a nearly two-second victory in the 800m, crossing the line in 2:04.72.
Marne Sullivan was fifth in the 800m final, running 2:07.48. She advanced to Sunday's 800m championship with a 2:07.18 performance in the qualifying heats.
Maureen Lewin was sixth in the 1,000m in a time of 2:51.93. Paige Carter was seventh in the mile, clocking 4:54.68. Carter ran the ninth-fastest qualifying time on Saturday (4:52.17).
Kylee Raftis led a trio of BC runners in the 3,000m, finishing in 10th place in a time of 9:42.32.
As a team, Boston College finished in sixth place overall, compiling 33 points.
