BC Falls to UNC in Series Finale

Valido, Labshere homer in loss
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Boston College dropped the final game of a three game series against North Carolina on Sunday, 8-3. The Eagles drop to 12-9 (1-2), while UNC improves to 14-10 (2-1).
BC came out swinging with back-to-back home runs in the second inning off the bats of Djhane Valido and Kennedy Labshere, giving them an early 3-0 lead. UNC answered with a four spot in the bottom frame after a controversial call went against the Eagles and opened the floodgates.
Susannah Anderson started in the circle for BC going 1.1 innings, allowing three earned runs, and walking four. Peyton Schnackenberg relieved Anderson going two full innings. Abby Dunning pitched the final 2.2, only allowing one run and striking out three.
The Eagles (12-9) head to Tallahassee, Fla. next weekend to take on No. 12 Florida State (23-1). Game one will be Friday at 6 p.m. ET. All games will be live streamed on ACCNX.
