
Trio of Eagles Earn All-ACC Accolades

GREENSBORO, N.C. - A trio of Boston College women's basketball players earned All-ACCÂ accolades on Tuesday as voted on by the league's Blue Ribbon Panel and the ACC head coaches.
Cameron Swartz was named the Most Improved Player while being named First-Team All-ACC. Taylor Soule made the All-ACC Second Team and Maria Gakdeng landed on the All-ACC Freshman Team.
 It's the first time the Eagles have had a player make all-first team in back-to-back seasons since 2009-10, while Soule is the first player since Carolyn Swords to earn All-ACC honors in back-to-back years. Gakdeng is the first freshman since Makayla Dickens in 2018-19 to make the all-freshman list.Â
All three played pivotal roles in the Eagles finishing 19-10 in the regular season and a 10-8 mark in ACC play. The Eagles are riding a three-game win streak going into the ACC Tournament, where they will face No. 9 seed Florida State on Thursday at 2 p.m. in Greensboro.Â
Cameron Swartz (First Team All-ACC/Most Improved Player)
- First in conference play in scoring at 19.0 points per game, fourth overall (16.1 ppg) in scoring and second in the conference in free throw percentage (.842).
- Led the Eagles in scoring, 3-pointers made with 53, free-throw percentage, third in rebounding (4.5 rpg), third in steals (1.1 spg)
- Posted career highs in 3-pointers, field goal percentage (.423), 3-point field goal percentage (.356), and assists (2.0) per game.
- Second in the ACC with 11 20-point performances.
- Scored at least 20 points in six straight games - the longest active streak in the ACC since 2019.Â

- Tied a single-game school record with 39 points against Clemson.
- Is one of two players in the ACC to average at least 16 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.Â
- Her 24 points against NC State and 28 points against Notre Dame are the most by an individual against both opponents.
- Is second in the league averaging 17.7 points against ranked opponents.
- Increased her scoring average by +7.3 points from non-conference to conference action.
- Is second in the ACC in points per 40 min. (22.3), fourth in offensive win shares (4.0), 11th in win shares (3.3) and 15th with a career-high PER of 21.5.
Taylor Soule (Second Team All-ACC)
- Second on the team in scoring at a clip of 15.3 points and second in rebounding at 5.1
- First on the team in field goal percentage shooting 50.8 percent (with at least 300 attempts) and third in assists (2.5 apg).
- Third in the league in field goal percentage, seventh in scoring and sixth in offensive rebounds per game.Â
- Led the team with two double-doubles, which came against ranked opponents in Notre Dame and NC State.
- Scored in double figures in 26 out of 29 games.Â
- Is the only player in the ACC and one of four in the country to average at least 15 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and shoot 50 percent from the field.Â
- Is one of five players in the country (only in the ACC) to have at least 1,400 points, 600 rebounds, 150 assists, 100 steals and shoot 50 percent from the floor.Â
- One of three players in the league with at least 1,400 career points.
- Is sixth in the league with seven 20-point outings.Â
- Played at least 40 minutes in three contests.Â
- First on the team in rebounding (6.4 rpg), field goal percentage (.605) and blocks per game (2.17Â bpg)
- Led all freshmen in the league in total blocks (66) and blocks per game.
- Third among freshmen in the league in scoring (8.4 ppg), second in rebounding and eighth in assists (0.85).Â
- Fourth overall in blocks and blocks per game.
- Has four games with at least five blocks, including a career-high six against Duke.
- Broke the single-season record for blocks.
- Scored in double figures in nine games.Â
- Named ACC Freshman of the Week on five occasions - the most by an Eagle since Stefanie Murphy in 2007-08.Â
- Is the only freshman in the country to average at least 8.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and shoot 60 percent from the field.Â
- Became one of four freshmen in the ACC since 2016-17 to post a game of at least 15 pts, 5 rebs, 5 blks and shoot 70% from the floor (versus Duke).Â
