The Eagles outscored the 13th-ranked Cavaliers, 13-5, in the second half after facing a first-half deficit. The help of Courtney Taylor (four caused turnovers) and Sydney Scales (three caused turnovers) helped BC force a season-high 20 turnovers (13 in the second half).Â
A Win Would
- Give BC its first 5-0 start since the 2019 season.
- Earn the Eagles' eighth straight win over Brown.Â
- Improve to 3-0 on the road.Â
Balanced Attack
The Eagles have three players in North (24 goals), Medjid (15 goals), and Mossman (10 goals) with at least 10 scores on the season. Belle Smith and Kayla Martello are approaching double-digit scores, as each has nine goals. North and Medjid both rank in the top 10 nationally in goals scored at third and fifth, respectively.Â
Three Named to Team USA
Eagle greats Sam Apuzzo and Dempsey Arsenault while North were named to Team USA for the World Lacrosse Women's World Championship held in Maryland this summer.Â
Taking Care of the Ball
BC has done a solid job of taking care of the ball, as its 7.25 turnovers per game are second in the nation. The Eagles have yet to turn the ball over more than eight times in a game this season.
Scouting Brown
The Bears are 1-1 to the season after Hofstra, 12-7. Jackie Mason and Leah Caputo each totaled a pair of goals in the setback, while Claire Jeschke posted a pair of assists. Jeschke's nine points (3 G, 6 A) is a team-best. Mason is leading the way in goals with four.Â
Series History
Despite a 9-11 mark against Brown, the Eagles have won the last seven matchups in the series. The two foes are facing each other for the first time since the 2020 season when the Eagles held on for a 13-10 victory.Â
What's Next
The Eagles' next game will take place on Saturday, March 5 against Louisville on the road at noon.Â
