BC to Host Maine in Hockey East Tournament Quarterfinal

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's hockey team will host the University of Maine in a Hockey East Tournament quarterfinal tilt on Friday afternoon at Kelley Rink.

Puck drop for the single-elimination game between the fourth-seeded Eagles and fifth-seeded Black Bears is set for 1 p.m., and the contest will air live on NESN. All Hockey East games this season will be made available across the U.S. and internationally on SportsLive, while all games televised on NESN and NESN+ and other select matchups will also be made available on CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports app outside of New England.

The 2022 Hockey East Tournament will be single-elimination format with each game hosted at the home arena of the higher seed. Semifinals will take place on Wednesday, March 2 and the championship game will be held on Saturday, March 5 to determine the winner of the Bertagna Trophy and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

ABOUT BOSTON COLLEGE
• The Eagles closed out the regular season at 19-13-1 overall with a 16-9-1 mark in Hockey East play ... the Eagles are 4-2-1 in the last five games and 7-2-1 in the last 10 outings.
• Over the course of the second semester, BC put together a nine-game unbeaten streak in Hockey East play as well as an eight-game unbeaten streak.
• The trio of Kelly Browne, Hannah Bilka and Abby Newhook make BC one of three teams in Hockey East with three 30+ point getters ... Browne has a team-leading 34 points (10-24-34) ... • Ida Kuoppala leads Maine in points (23), goals (9) and assists (14) … Alie Beltz has chipped in 17 points (5-12-17) while Celine Tedenby has put up 15 points (7-8-15).
• Jorden Mattison has started the last seven games in between the pipes, going 2-5-0 in those contests while posting an overall mark of 5-8-0, a .919 save percentage and 2.43 goals against average … Loryn Porter holds a 9-10-1 mark with a 2.33 goals against average and .927 save percentage.
