Schnackenberg's 11 K's aren't enough to get the Eagles the win
Freshman pitcher Abby Dunning made her fourth start of the season, going 2.1 innings before handing the ball off to Peyton Schnackenberg, who pitched the final 4.2 innings for the Eagles, striking out a season-high 11 hitters.
Offensively, BC collected 9 hits, including two from Hannah Slike. Junior Djhane Valido collected her first extra base hit of 2022 with a double in the third inning. Elisabeth Laviolette, Nicole Giery, and Gianna Boccagno were responsible for driving in the Eagles' three runs.
Boston College is on the road again next weekend in Birmingham, Ala. for the Bulldog Classic. They will play a doubleheader on Saturday against host-Samford at 10 a.m., and Indiana State at 12:30 p.m.
