The Eagles ended their non-conference slate with a dominating 86-35 win over Central Connecticut State on Dec. 22. Boston College started the game on a 21-4 run and never look back for its sixth win in the past seven games and its fourth straight overall. All nine players who saw action scored, while all five starters scored in double figures. JoJo Lacey paced the offense with a game-high 18 points on an efficient 8-of-15 shooting, and she grabbed six rebounds. Taina Mair recorded her third double-double of the season with 15 points, a game-best 11 assists and totaled five boards.Â
A Win Would
-Â Give BC a 12-4 mark and 2-1 record in ACC play.
-Â Snap Notre Dame's six-game win streak.
-Â Give BC its first win at Notre Dame since 2020.
-Â Record a season-long five-game win streak.
- Give the Eagles their first top-five win since defeating then-No. 2 Ohio State in the 2006 NCAA Tournament.Â
By the Numbers
1 - Mair is the only freshman and one of two players in the country (Olivia Miles) to average at least 10 points, 5.0 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game.Â
29.2 - The trio of Dontavia Waggoner (plus-10.4 points), Lacey (plus-9.9) and Andrea Daley (plus-8.9) have increased their scoring by a combined 29.2 points per game this season. Waggoner is first in the ACC in the highest scoring increase, followed by Lacey and Daley.Â
45 - The Eagles are 9-0 this season when limiting opponents to shooting less than 45 percent from the field.Â
82.7 - The 82.7 defensive rating (points allowed per 100 possessions) is the lowed under coach Mac.Â
138 - Mair is well on her way to breaking the single-season freshman mark for assists, where she is 26 away from surpassing Kerry Curan (1990-91).Â
What to Watch for
- The Eagles boast an 8-2 record this season when it forces 20 or more turnovers. Watch if the defense can force mistakes against the Fighting Irish, who committed 22 turnovers against Miami.
- Boston College is sixth in the country in offensive rebounding rate at a clip of 43.3 and is 18th in offensive rebounds per game. See if the Eagles can come up with second-chance opportunities. Notre Dame allowed 21 second-chance points in its lone loss to Maryland.
- Over the last seven games, Mair is averaging 13.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game, while all three of her double-doubles have come during that span. Watch if the freshman can continue her solid play.

- Lacey is averaging 19.5 points on 53.5 percent shooting over the last two games. See if the guard can continue her scoring ways.
