Eagles Sign Noah and Lukas Echevarria Through Team IMPACT

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.– Boston College head coach Earl Grant announced two new team members, signing 9-year-old Noah and 11-year-old Lukas Echevarria through Team IMPACT.

Noah, who lives with Jordan syndrome, and his brother Lukas were officially introduced at a signing day press conference on Tuesday, December 20 on the court at Conte Forum. They will participate in many activities with the team including games, practices, and other team events.

Team IMPACT, a national non-profit organization, has developed a unique multiyear program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Based on a clinical model, Team IMPACT guides a symbiotic relationship between teams and children focused on socialization, empowerment, and resilience.

"Team IMPACT is thrilled to see Noah and Lukas officially join the Eagles," said Ryan Irwin, Executive Director, Northeast for Team IMPACT. "We are proud to be official partners with Boston College, who has matched children to 22 teams over the last decade. It's exciting to see our brand growing on campus and feel the momentum Team IMPACT has built in Chestnut Hill, much thanks to the athletic department leadership and coaching staff who witness firsthand the lifelong bonds and life-changing outcomes our program creates between student-athletes and their Team IMPACT teammates. I look forward to watching Noah and Lukas build those bonds with the team over the next two years. Go Eagles!"

Boston College has worked with Team IMPACT for the past 11 years, matching 22 children across its men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, baseball, women's lacrosse, football, swimming and diving, men's and women's hockey, cheerleading, women's volleyball, and women's track teams.Â
