Eagles will open ACC play at #17/17 Duke on Saturday afternoon
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- Devin McGlockton registered his first collegiate double-double, with 20 points and 11 boards in an 88-67 loss at Nebraska on Wednesday night in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
McGlockton made 7-of-9 shots from the floor, while corralling six of his 11 boards on the offensive glass.
Nebraska broke the game open with a 33-6 run that spanned the halves for a 64-40 lead with 8:41 remaining. Boston College didn't score in the last 2:25 of the first half and had just two free throws in the second before Devin McGlockton's dunk with 11:07 to play.
The Cornhuskers shot 68% (19 of 28) from the floor and nearly 70% (9 of 13) from long range in the second half. They finished 32-of-52 (61.5%) shooting and made 12 of their 23 3-point shots. After shooting the ball well in the first half, making 12-of-25 from the floor - including 5-of-10 from the perimeter - BC struggled during the early parts of the second half.
CJ Penha Jr. had 13 points and Chas Kelley III finished with a season-high 10.
Boston College opens Atlantic Coast Conference play at #17/17 Duke on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. and the game can be seen live on ACC Network.
