BC Prepares For Rematch Against Pitt

Eagles will travel to Pittsburgh for final match of 2022 regular season
Chestnut Hill, Mass – Boston College prepares for their final match of their 2022 regular season on Saturday as they travel to Pittsburgh for a rematch against the #7 ranked Pitt Panthers. In the first match between the two teams earlier this month on November 6th, Pitt defeated BC 3-1. The match will be broadcasted on ACC Network Extra.
The Eagles so far...
BC now sits at 19-12 on the season and 7-10 in the ACC. The Eagles are coming off a five set victory last Saturday against Virginia Tech in their final home match of the regular season. On Senior day, it was two of BC's Seniors who helped lead the way, Right side hitter Izzy Clavenna (Dallas, Texas) posted a team leading 14 kills on a .419 hitting percentage and middle blocker Kate Brennan (Endicott, N.Y) did a little bit of everything, going for a hyper efficient 12 kills on 16 attempts, six digs, five total blocks and two service aces. Junior Grace Penn also recorded her second double-double of the season with 29 assists and 10 digs. Boston College as a team currently stand at sixth in the ACC in hitting percentage at .226 and first in the conference in total kills at 1524. They also lead the conference in total assists on the season at 1435. They have shown some impressive defense at the net as well this season ranking second in the conference in total blocks as a team at 274. BC also leads the ACC in service aces on the season and are fourth in aces per set.
The Match-Up…
Pittsburgh: Saturday's match will be the 32nd time the two programs have met, BC is currently 1-30 all time in the series. The #7 ranked Panthers have been one of the best teams in the country this season, they are 26-3 overall on the season and 16-1 in the ACC. They are coming off a massive 3-2 win over #13 Georgia Tech on Wednesday.
