
BC Set To Host Virginia and Pittsburgh

After two wins this past weekend, the Eagles will look to build on their 16-10 record with matches against UVA and Pitt

BC now sits at 16-10 on the season and 4-8 in the ACC. The Eagles are fresh off their best weekend of the season with four set wins against Miami and Florida State. Sophomore outside hitter Jenna Pollock (St. Catharines, Ont) and Senior outside hitter Silvia Ianeselli (Trento, Italy) both had outstanding performances this past weekend, Pollock recorded a 12 kill, 11 dig double double against Miami and then followed that up with a career high 22 kills against the Seminoles. Ianeselli who was named Eagle of the Week this week, tallied 17 total kills, 28 total digs and 5 service aces in two games including a double-double against Florida State. BC as a team currently stands at sixth in the ACC in hitting percentage at .225 and first in the conference in total kills at 1270. They also lead the conference in total assists on the season and are third in assists per set at 12.20. They have shown some impressive defense at the net as well this season ranking second in the conference in total blocks as a team at 228 and are also sixth in blocks per set at 2.33. BC is also second in the ACC in service aces on the season and fifth in aces per set.Â

Virginia: Friday afternoon's match will be the 27th time the two programs have met, the Cavaliers currently hold the advantage at 18-8 all time.
Pittsburgh: Sunday's matchup will be the 31st meeting between the Eagles and Panthers. BC is currently 1-29 all time in th series.Â
