
Eagles To Host Virginia Tech For Senior Day

BC takes on the Hokies in final home match of season, will honor Brennan, Ianeselli and Clavenna

BC now sits at 18-12 on the season and 6-10 in the ACC. The Eagles are coming off a 1-1 weekend where they lost to Duke in Durham on Friday and swept Syracuse 3-0 on Sunday. In Sunday's match, the Eagles put on a complete performance the entire way, Senior Silvia Ianeselli led the way going for 12 kills on a .409 hitting percentage, seven digs, four service aces and a block. Boston College as a team currently stand at sixth in the ACC in hitting percentage at .225 and first in the conference in total kills at 1462. They also lead the conference in total assists on the season at 1375. They have shown some impressive defense at the net as well this season ranking second in the conference in total blocks as a team at 269 and are also sixth in blocks per set at 2.34. BC also leads the ACC in service aces on the season and are fourth in aces per set.

Virginia Tech: Saturday afternoons match will be the 31st time the two programs have met. The Hokies hold the advantage at 19-11 all time in the series. Virginia Tech is currently 11-16 overall this season and 4-16 in the ACC.Â
