
Eagles Ready to Compete against Army in Friday's Meet

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass – The Boston College swim and dive team will travel to West Point, N.Y. to compete against Army this Friday at 4:30 p.m.
The Eagles are coming off of a first-place finish for both the men's and women's teams on Oct. 15 when they hosted the BC Invitational against UMass Amherst, Bryant, Holy Cross, and Providence.
LAST MATCHUP:
Boston College hosted Army last year, posting a 214.5-85.5 victory for the women's team and a 180-120 loss on the men's side. The women's squad won 13 of the 16 events, including sweeps in the 500 freestyle, 100 backstroke, and 200 individual medley. For the men, Andrew Blusiewicz (200 butterfly), Kyle Floyd (100 butterfly), Zachary Szmania (500 freestyle), and Michael Horkan (100 backstroke) each won their respective events.
RECORD SETTERS:
Senior Livy Poulin had a strong showing in last year's event against Army, breaking her own pool record for the one-meter dive with a score of 288.10. She had previously broken Kristen Gray's 2001 mark of 285.00 in Boston College's intrasquad meet the month prior. Sophomore Megan Kramer also set a pool record in this matchup, swimming a 4:57.89 to win the women's 500 freestyle. This performance broke the previous record of 4:59.40 set in 2019 by Easop Lee of Duke University.
