BC Gets Set For Road Trip vs Georgia Tech and Clemson

After going 1-1 last weekend, the Eagles will look to build on their 14-8 record on the season
CHESTNUT HILL, MASS – Boston College heads back out onto the road for another weekend ACC road trip, first up they will travel to Atlanta to take on the No. 10 ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Friday at 7 PM and then to Clemson for a match against the Tigers on Sunday at 1 PM. Sunday's match against Clemson will be broadcasted on ACC Network+.
The Eagles so far...
BC now sits at 14-8 on the season and 2-6 in the ACC. The Eagles won one and lost one this past weekend against North Carolina and NC State. The Tar Heels thoroughly outplayed BC on Friday evening with only one of the sets being decided by less then five points as Carolina outhit the Eagles .340 to .152 for the match. Sunday's match against the Wolfpack came down to the wire in a five set thriller as Boston College was able to survive after NC State managed to force a fifth set in set four after going down 2-1. Sophomore middle blocker Jenna Pollock led the way for the Eagles in the win with 15 kills, six digs, a block and an ace. Senior right side Izzy Clavenna (Dallas, Texas) came up big as well with 12 kills and two blocks. The Eagles as a team currently stand at sixth in the ACC in hitting percentage at .231 and first in the conference in total kills at 1080. They also lead the conference in total assists on the season and are fourth in assists per set at 12.29. They have shown some impressive defense at the net as well this season leading the conference in total blocks as a team at 192 and are also fifth in blocks per set at 2.31. BC is also fourth in the ACC in service aces on the season and fifth in aces per set.
