Eagles Meet No. 12 Northeastern at Matthews on Tuesday Night

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College travels to Matthews Arena on Tuesday night for a 7 p.m. non-conference game against No. 12 Northeastern. The game will air live on both ESPN+ and WEEI 850-AM.
FIRST OF MANY
• Boston College went on the road and earned a 4-2 victory over New Hampshire in the Hockey East opener on Saturday, a win which marked Greg Brown's first as The Schiller Family Head Hockey Coach
• It was the first win for a BC head coach not named Jerry York since Feb. 26, 1994
• Junior Colby Ambrosio scored twice for the Eagles, including an empty-netter in the closing minutes to seal all three league points
• Senior Mitch Andres scored his first collegiate goal and added an assist on Liam Izyk's game-winner for his first multi-point performance
• Graduate transfer Mitch Benson posted his first win in a Boston College sweater, stopping 29 of the 31 New Hampshire shots he faced
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
• Northeastern is 3-1-0 overall and 2-1-0 in league play as it starts the season with a six-game homestand
• The Huskies suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday by a 2-1 final in Boston against Providence
• NU swept Vermont 5-2 and 5-0 on Oct. 7-8 in its first two league contests at Matthews Arena

• Goals from Drew Helleson and Marshall Warren led a furious third period comeback, but No. 8 seed BC fell one goal short in a 3-2 defeat to top seed and regular season champion Northeastern in the 2022 Hockey East Quarterfinal at Matthews Arena
• Down 3-0 entering the third period, the Eagles out-shot the Huskies 25-9 and had several chances to tie the game with Eric Dop pulled for an extra skater
• Devon Levi made 46 saves to preserve the lead down the stretch for Northeastern
• Warren closed the night with a career-high eight shots as BC out-shot NU 48-36
