Eagles Selected Fourth in Hockey East Preseason Poll

BC is coming off a trip to the Hockey East semifinals
AMESBURY, Mass. – Boston College men's hockey has been picked to finish fourth in Hockey East this season, according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll on Wednesday morning.
The Eagles were picked fourth with 86 points in the poll. Providence was selected as the favorite, garnering eight first-place votes and 106 points. Rounding out the top three was UMass with one first-place and 98 points, followed by Boston University with two first-place votes and 87 points.
UConn was tabbed fifth in the poll with 73 points followed by Merrimack in sixth place with 68 points. Maine was picked to finish seventh with 57 points and rounding out the 11-team poll were Northeastern (52), New Hampshire (35), UMass Lowell (31) and Vermont (22).
BC opens the regular season on Friday, Oct. 9 against Alaska. The Hockey East slate begins Friday, Oct. 30 at home against Northeastern. Single game tickets for the non-conference contests and the league games in the first half of the schedule are available for purchase. Tickets can be purchased here or by calling 617-552-GoBC.
