About the Eagles
Last Time Out
Boston College used a 22-6 run over the final 8:34 of the game to push past Miami on Sunday, 79-66. Taylor Soule scored a game-high 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the floor and played all 40 minutes for the second time in her career. Marnelle Garraud and Ally VanTimmeren scored 14 points, while Cameron Swartz chipped in with 11. The Eagles improved to 11-0 when scoring at least 75 points and shot a season-high 56.3 percent from 3-point range. BC also scored 18 second-chance points in the victory.Â
Racking up the Awards
After averaging 19.0 points, eight rebounds, and three assists, Soule was named the ACC Player of the Week for the fourth time in her career and the first this season. It was the fifth straight week the Eagles garnered a weekly honor, freshman or player of the week. BC and Notre Dame are tied for the most weekly conference awards with six.Â
A Win Would
- Give the Eagles a 15-5 mark and 6-3 in ACC play.Â
- Improve BC's mark to 5-3 on the road.Â
- Give BC a third win in the past four meetings against the Yellow Jackets.Â
- Match BC's best 20-game start since 2010-11 when the Eagles also started 15-5.Â
- Earn back-to-back wins over ranked opponents for the first time since the 2009-10 season.Â
By the Numbers
1 - Makayla Dickens is the only reserve in the country to come off the bench to average at least 10 points, three assists and hit at least 35 trifectas.
3 - Boston College is one of three schools (Virginia Tech/Georgia Tech) to have two, 1,000-point scorers.Â
6 -Â Soule is six points away from becoming one of 15 players in school history with 1,300 points.Â
56.3 - The 56.3 percent from beyond the arc is the second-highest shooting percent from deep under Bernabei-McNamee.
75 - BC is 11-0 this season when scoring at least 75 points.Â
What to Watch for
- See if the Eagles can turn the Yellow Jackets over, as they average 17.5 turnovers in their four losses (13.9 overall).
- In three career games against Georgia Tech, Cameron Swartz is averaging 15.3 points on 45.4 percent shooting. Her 23 points in the previous matchup are the most points scored by an Eagle against GT dating back to 2018-19. See if the senior can continue her solid play against GT.
- Watch if the Eagles can finish strong as they did in the last two games, where they outscored the Irish by a score of 32-16 in the final 12:53 and the Hurricanes 22-6 in the final 8:34. Georgia Tech's minus-9 scoring margin in the final quarter during ACC play is the lowest of any period (plus-101 in the first three quarters).
- Watch if the Eagles can protect the rock on Thursday, as they've averaged only 16 turnovers over the last two games compared to 23 turnovers in the previous four games.
- Watch if the Eagles can get to the line on Thursday, as Georgia Tech allowed at least 16 foul shot attempts in two of its four losses.
Scouting Georgia Tech
- The 14th-ranked Yellow Jackets are coming off back-to-back wins against Syracuse (65-55) and most recently North Carolina, 55-38.Â

- Lorela Cubaj led the team with 10 rebounds on top of nine points and four assists.Â

- Cubaj is first in the ACC and eighth in the country averaging 11.6 rebounds per game.
- GT's 46.3 points allowed per game is first in the nation while holding opponents to 32.3 percent shooting from the field - second in the country.Â
- Georgia Tech has yet to give up more than 64 points in a game his season, while it's also first in allowing just 70.7 points per 100 possession.Â
- The Yellow Jackets are 10-2 at home this season.Â
