New Addition Shatters School Record at Battle in Beantown

Jalon Williams broke the school record in the 60m dash at the Battle in Beantown
BOSTON – The Boston College men's track and field team had a successful day at the Battle in Beantown after breaking school records.
Cornerback, Jalon Williams of BC football joined the team to break the school's record in the 60m dash. His initial time of 6.91 earned him a spot in the finals heat, where Williams' time of 6.85 earned him fourth place. The previous 60m record stood for over 20 years.
The team also found success in the 600m where four Eagles posted personal bests: Denis Gallagher (7th, 1:20.08), Eddie Kelly (10th, 1:20.96), John Wacker (12th, 1:21.49), and Adriano Barilla (17th, 1:22.87).
In the mile run, Stephen Jackson posted the second-best time in school history with a time of 4:03.18, good for fifth-place.
The team will return to BU next week for the John Thomas Terrier Classic.
