Get to know Team 39 through our new series, Eagle Spotlight!
Hi BC Softball fans!Â
My name is Peyton Schnackenberg and I am a senior pitcher from New Jersey! I'm majoring in Marketing and Management/Leadership while also taking classes in sales. I've been looking forward to sharing with you what I love about being a student athlete at Boston College. It is an exciting time to be an Eagle at Boston College. Over the weekend we had a scrimmage win against Boston University and our football team beat Missouri the following day!Â
One of my favorite softball memories was the grand opening of the Pete Frates Center. It meant the world to me to not only be able to sign a beam in the building but to see the dedication that was put towards creating our beautiful new facility.
Outside of athletics, I love everything about the Carroll School of Management. I have learned valuable lessons in all of my classes and have been able to apply the skills I learned in my summer internships. Most recently I worked in marketing for Johnson & Johnson's Orthopaedic Medical Device company, DePuy Synthes. My time in the classroom not only helped me discover my passion for sales and marketing but encouraged me to seek opportunities in the summer to build on my knowledge from the classroom!
When I get off campus, I love going to Boston! I made a bucket list last year of places that I wanted to visit before I graduated. Some of my highlights from being a tourist with my teammates in Boston are going to the New England Aquarium, walking the Freedom Trail, getting dinner in the North End/going to Mike's Pastry, the Franklin Park Zoo, catching a baseball game at Fenway Park, and shopping on Newbury Street.Â
Time needs to slow down as my senior year continues. I'm excited to make lasting memories with my friends and to just enjoy my remaining time as an Eagle. I hope to see everyone at some games this spring!
