Garwo, Sebastian Claim ACC Player of the Week Honors

BC continues streak of four straight weeks with weekly ACC awards.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Boston College football redshirt-sophomore Pat Garwo (Levittown, Pa.) earned ACC Running Back of the Week and graduate Brandon Sebastian (West Haven, Conn.) earned ACC Defensive Back of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. The award marks the second of the season for Garwo and first in Sebastian's career.

Through four weeks, BC has claimed at least one weekly honor each week and totaled seven on the season.

Garwo rushed for a career-high 175 yards on 25 carries and two touchdowns in the Eagles' 41-34 overtime win over Missouri. Playing from behind, Garwo scored BC's first touchdown of the game on a 67-yard rush; the longest of his career. His second touchdown of the game gave BC its first lead midway through the third quarter.

Following the Eagles' touchdown on the first possession of overtime, Sebastian clinched the win on an end zone interception on the Tigers' first offensive play of the period. It marked his second interception of the season and sixth of his career. Sebastian also tied for the team-lead in tackles at seven, including six solos.

Boston College is in action Saturday night at No. 25/19 Clemson. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. on ACC Network.
